Co-Founder & Principal Therapist
With a wealth of teaching experience, Ellenca has worked extensively with both mainstream students and children with diverse learning needs. Her expertise spans a wide range of challenges, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Global Developmental Delay (GDD), and various behavioural and learning difficulties.
Throughout her career, she has been dedicated to creating inclusive learning environments that cater to the unique strengths and challenges of each child.
As a key member of the pioneering team at an inclusive preschool, Ellenca played an instrumental role in its establishment and management. Her leadership extended to training therapists, equipping them with the necessary strategies and skills to accommodate and nurture children with different needs. By fostering an inclusive atmosphere, she helped create a school culture that celebrates diversity and encourages every child to thrive.
Ellenca played a vital role in the intake process for new students by assessing their unique learning needs. This allowed her to gather important insights into each child’s strengths and areas for improvement, ensuring they received the necessary support from day one. Recognizing the importance of accurate student assessment, Ellenca also developed an in-house assessment checklist that has significantly enhanced the precision of student placement and support. This tool has been instrumental in identifying students’ specific strengths and challenges, allowing educators to tailor interventions that address their individual learning needs. Her deep understanding of mainstream school curricula, combined with her ability to implement targeted support strategies, has enabled her to effectively bridge learning gaps and facilitate meaningful progress for children.
Ellenca firmly believes that every child has the potential to grow and succeed when given the right support. She is a strong advocate for a collaborative approach to education, emphasizing the importance of partnerships between teachers, family members, caregivers, therapists, and other key stakeholders. She believes that by working together, these individuals can create a nurturing and structured environment that fosters a child’s development and maximizes their learning potential.
